Immediate projection advice? (specifically polish, or others with narrow wires that also work for FoT shapes)

I still love my only fitting bra to date, my 65M - Comexim » Ingrid Plunge Bra (289) but have noticed when I wear it for a full day I have a lot of rib pain below my IMF where the wires are eventually pushed down. Based on the creases on the inside bottom of the cups when I take it off and what I've read here - I'm thinking this is because I need more immediate projection.

Now my question is: where do I find it? I'd love an unlined bra but padded or soft would work too, but since I already know many UK brands are too wide in the cups/wires and gore and those fit issues outweigh immediate projection and I was under the impression that comexim was one of the most projected brands, I am stumped on what to try next. Any advice?

Related queries: Has anyone stumbled onto a list or resource detailing immediate projection in various brands? I'd love to see it if there are any existing guides to cuts and seams or brands or anything to explain how to support projected breasts properly. (With a hand bra, my boobs are basically two halves of a cantaloupe touching each other on my chest /oo\ [hehe, slashes are my arms] but they're also pretty soft and I can't seem to find a bra that can duplicate the support of a hand bra!)
Lastly, are there short cuts I'm unaware of for sussing immediate vs apex projection from the existing measurements on bratabase? I'm guessing "no", since depth ratio can't distinguish where the depth happens, but maybe there's some other way to do it I'm unaware of! Fingers crossed!!

  • Good question, I'm actually on a similar hunt! Generally I believe Ewa's CHP cut is considered to have the most immediate projection. Size range is limited to GG cups, although they may do special orders?
For Comexim, the most immediate projected bra is the 3HC supposedly. Haven't yet tried either of them myself but I'm curious to try! Especially Comexim, because I haven't tried any of their bras just yet...

*edit* for your other questions, here's a useful fit guide by Petite Collegiate; http://www.zathiya.com/blog/bra-fit-master-class-projection-101/

And generally, bras with more vertical seams allow for more projection. So a 3 part half cup is more projected than a 2 part half cup.

    Hope this helps!

  • bubblegum thanks for your reply and the link!

It's funny, I thought the consensus on Comexim projection was the opposite! That the plunge had the most immediate projection and the 3 part half cup had more shallow shape coming out from the wire. When I tried the 65M - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406) that seemed to be my experience,But the cups being too small and straps too wide meant I didn't wear it long enough to really see what happened with wires over time. I'm really hoping I had the wrong impression of the immediate projection because I loved the round, uplifted shape I got in the Sonia, it just wasn't a comfortable or practical fit in the size I tried. Can you link me to anything comparing the projection of the comexim cuts? Your first reference is such a winner! The Zathiya guide has already been helpful - I definitely want to try an Ewa Sm, though I wish there was a comparable Comexim or other Polish brand style because Ewa is getting so expensive and there are so many issues with ordering direct that I'd rather not get hooked on her bras in the first place!
Funny thing about that guide is I've seen it before and even bookmarked it. I think I just get so overwhelmed with bra information- especially from bra bloggers, who do such a service for the rest of us, but I do tend to forget they each are writing about their particular experience for their particular size and shape, a more general guide like Zathiya's is probably more useful in this instance
